When I purchased the car (at 97,000 miles) it had a ton of new work. The work included: New timing belt, fuel tank cleaned, new radio, new water pump and etc... I will update later when I am home and have to original carfax. I am taking the car in on Wednesday night for the 120,000 mile service which I believe is checking out the spark plugs, changing out the air and cabin filter, and oil and filter change. The car is the silver/grey metallic color and the interior is black leather. It is super clean, no seat tears or stains. The body of the car has some minor dents. There is one on the edge of the trunk, a fairly good sized but shallow one on the passenger side door, and minor scratching on the front bumper. There is only one key and the plastic piece that allows you to attach it to key ring fell off, so it just the key and remote. It was a restoration project, we put a lot into it, and now it runs pretty great. Looks great too. We put all new parts into the van to make it safe for camping trips and that´s what it is best for. The only things I´d have to say up front are that the undercarriage is a little rusty, the spedometer needs to be reconnected, and you can´t push it too fast up hill. We left the spedometer alone because the car naturally goes 65 to 75 mph max and loves to go a smooth 55. We stay with the flow of traffic and don´t speed, and with these old VW´s that keeps them happy. The Camping equipment is all in great condition: two double beds, pop top, kitchen, stove & sink, electrical hookups, lights, storage spaces- all fully functional, clean, good looking. There are some places where the car was bumped and bent- the front was in an accident, has a cosmetic black shield. Good thing about the accident being in the front is the engine being in the back, was not harmed. The engine is impressively quiet and strong. for more pictures email me.
