Details: This is a 1982 diesel (1.6) e-mode automatic transmission with a BAD cylinder head . Was driving down the road and made sounds like the cylinder head gasket went out,drug it home and replaced head gasket only to realize one of the valve spring seats had cocked in the cylinder head recess ,there is no piston or rod damage. Block is good, injector pump is strong ,transmission is solid. Have put new struts all around,new serpentine belt,new rear wheel cylinders,rear wheel bearings ,seals,brake shoes,brake drums,dust caps,new glow plugs,new fuel shut off solenoid,two new rear tires.Have Bentley repair manual to go with it.All you´d need to get it going is a good cylinder head,I have a new gasket and head bolts.Don´t have the time to find a good cylinder head for what i´m willing to pay.The odometer has quit at 211,000 miles so I don´t know actual miles.There is some rust under floorpans but strut mounts and structure is sound.Got between 38-43 mpg.Please call and leave message(with number to call back) at 507-383-6323 or e-mail Thank You. Details: I have for sale a 1996 Volkswagen Golf with 206,xxx miles. It has a 2.0L 8 valve engine and a 5 speed manual transmission. I bought this car with 170,000 miles on it and enjoyed every mile i have put on it. The reason I am selling it is that i just bought a newer Volkswagen and unfortunately it is time to sell it. I have done an oil change every 3,000 miles and regular car washes. It also has an aftermarket sound system with Alpine Deck w/ iPod connector, 12´ Alpine type E and a Kicker mono amp, that sounds very clean and clear. I have a second set of rims, 17´ Actna 5 spoke, that I would include for an extra $200. Since I have owned it, many parts were put in:-Tires less than 10,000 miles ago -New Starter-Ball Joints-Brake Pads-Rotors-Drums-Air Filter-Fuel Filter-Plugs-Wires-Radiator Fans-Newer Struts-Thermostat-Oil Pan Gasket-New BatteryThe only downside is that it does have classic MK3 rust spots above the windshield and underneath the rear license plate, but other than that it is a very clean, fuel efficient, and reliable car.If you have any more questions or want more pictures call or text me at (Seven One Five) Seven Eight One- Two Five Three Three (I wrote my number out to prevent spam.)
