Switched over to electronic ignition. Rebuilt transmission with new clutch New fuel pump and fuel lines .Driven over 10,000 miles around the US and never had any problems. Reupholstered the seats, back seat / bed is 6in memory foam so you can sleep good! Hardwood Bamboo floor in rear. rhino lined front new tent on top with seal so no leaking! Text me if you have questions (480) 710-8524.1982 Volkswagen Vanagon:* Air cooled* unknown mileage (odometer not connected)* 2.0L gasoline engine runs good THE BRAND NEW:* new grey pop-up canvas* vacum advance distributor w/ electronic points replacement (altitude doesn´t mess with timing)* Slightly used 16´ allows from Go Westy with rare discontinued center caps* very low-mileage low profile Michelin tires* new battery for ignition side (sink,fridge,and interior lights run off another car battery)* pop top personally restored with new paint,weather stripping, and Westfalia decalsRuns well although mileage or date of last rebuild on engine is unknown. The original interior has cosmetic flaws that would be assumed for a 30 year old vehicle. Sink uses water storage tank with electronic switch for running water.Stove works great and uses very little propane from mounted tank.Refrigerator runs on house plug-in, propane, or battery (un-tested).Things to replace in the near future:* brake rotors and pads (not over worn but squeal from time to time)* fuel lines (recommend every year)* cd player ( cds don´t load without assistance)* body work: although minor spots of surface and (very common) rust, front end damage is unknown (bra covers affected area), wheel wells are not great, and lastly back hatch has been dented but functions and operates just fine.*I´m unsure of the heat. It works all year long but I planned on installing a cabin heater w/ thermostat for driving and camping instead of repairing the existing system.This is a fun project and has a ton of potential for cosmetic upgrades you can do yourself. I don´t hesitate to drive it daily and camp every weekend. The only reason I am willing to part with my favorite vehicle is I´m selling a couple other of my vehicles and buying a Syncro.I do have a ton of pix now (not after a good cleaning) but they are honest and straight forward showing almost every angle. Email a request as I´m trying to get a photo link set up.Note to potential buyers: this is a great vehicle at a very fair market value. With that said, it will not always be reliable if left unmaintained. It will not do wheelies, burn-outs, pass cars on highways, or go 60 mph up hills. It is an air cooled brick that gets peoples attention anywhere. It WILL get you a ton of chicks, to the disc golf course, and as always to point B in style at 60mph : ) I´ve estimated the fuel economy to be 20 miles per gallon.
