Details: You are looking at a 1997 Jetta GT, 2.0L, 5 speed. The car has 211,000 miles on it. BUT, in no way looks or drives like it has that many miles. This is a great car! I bought the car 2 years ago from a guy I work with. I work at a local VW car dealership and the previous owner was the shop foreman, or lead technician for the shop. He bought the car back in 2001 with about, 70,000 miles on it. I bought the car with 191,000 miles on it. I get 35 mpg in this car!!!This car does not show 211,000 miles! MUST SEE to appreciate.The maintenance on the car is impeccable. Always ran with synthetic oil, and changed every 3k miles. The spark plugs, wires, cap and rotor were replaced just before I bought the car from him. As well as the brakes. The car does have a Neuspeed chip, P-Flow air intake, 260 cams and a Flow Master exhaust. The car on the outside has, Miro, 3 piece look wheels, 16x7.5, all the way around. As well as JOM adjustable coil overs, which ride quite well. When I put the coil overs in the car, I installed new front upper strut mounts and bearings. It also has smoked Hella dual round, projector headlights with a GTI grill. Euro VR6 front lip spoiler. Euro headlight switch with rear fogs hooked up. Since the photos below, I added a set of black textured side door moldings. The interior, the car has a Pioneer CD deck. 2 8´ subs and amplifier. Silver climate control knobs. Audi TT shifter. MK4 3 spoke steering wheel. The car has limo tint, all the way around, except the windshield of course. Everything works in the car. Sunroof, heater, A/C is cold, etc.There is one item I must bring up. The engine light is on, but the one and only fault is for a ´very small EVAP leak´. I replaced the gas cap, and the N-80 valve, but the light remains. This fault in NO WAY effects the reliability or performance.The only reason I am selling the car is because my left foot is starting to develop issues and driving a 5 speed in the traffic is starting to be a problem. I just bought a new car and this one needs to go since I cannot drive it comfortably the distance I travel to and from work.The car also comes with a brand new in the box hood.I do have additional photos if you want them. Or, if I don´t, let me know specifically what you want to see and we´ll go from there. I do have title in hand and am only doing a CASH sale. No TRADES of any kind!!! As well, no test drives, unless really interested. I´ll be the judge for this. AC, premium audio, power windows, power moonroof, ABS, alloy rims, alarm, remote entry, floor mats with yellow piping, trip computer. Has great details, such as yellow stitching and pattern on the seats, golf ball shifter, comfortable and very supportive seats. I had to special order the car with cloth interior and I´m glad I did. It has held up great after 14 years, and the details are much more interesting than the straight black leather. Religiously serviced, I have all the records. There are 4 brand new Goodyear Eagle GT tires with fully transferrable warranty on it. Rear brakes are new, got it aligned a few hundred miles ago, car is up to date on service. The car is true to stock, except for the stereo. It originally had a 6-cd changer, but I put in a very nice Kenwood KIV-BT900 unit and wired it to the 8 premium speakers. It sounds great, full handsfree bluetooth and iPod hookup in the glove compartment. Yes, you can control everything from the unit´s 3-inch color display, including your bluetooth phone. Paint is pretty nice for its age, the usual minor bumper wear and one scrape on the passenger side in front of the rear wheel, just below rubber strip (see photo, you can barely see it). The passenger window needs a new motor, so it doesn´t currently roll down. Windshield has a minor crack in bottom of driver side near dash, it has not expanded or got in my way at all. This car has a powerful and smooth engine that has a long life ahead of it. Perfect for VW enthusiasts, as this is a rare model and rare color. Also lots of rather inexpensive mods available to make the 6-cylinder engine into a total monster. I bought this new in March 1998 and am the only owner, so you´ll get the manuals, records, I even have the original window sticker with MSRP on it. When I purchased the car (at 97,000 miles) it had a ton of new work. The work included: New timing belt, fuel tank cleaned, new radio, new water pump and etc... I will update later when I am home and have to original carfax. I am taking the car in on Wednesday night for the 120,000 mile service which I believe is checking out the spark plugs, changing out the air and cabin filter, and oil and filter change. The car is the silver/grey metallic color and the interior is black leather. It is super clean, no seat tears or stains. The body of the car has some minor dents. There is one on the edge of the trunk, a fairly good sized but shallow one on the passenger side door, and minor scratching on the front bumper. There is only one key and the plastic piece that allows you to attach it to key ring fell off, so it just the key and remote.
