Details: I have a 2002 Volkswagen Jetta with the 1.8 liter turbocharged engine, tiptronic automatic transmission, with 131,000 miles. This has been my wifes daily driver for 4 years now, and has been a great car for us. We purchased with 56,000 miles and have had very few issues with it. I replace the timing belt, tensioner, and water pump at just over 90,000 miles, and at that time switched over to amzoil full synthetic oil as well. Car currently has a set of firestone winterforce snow tires on steel wheels, these were purchased new in december. I have a second set of aluminum Jetta rims with worn out pirelli´s on them. Ignition coils were replaced under recall by the dealer about 30k miles ago. Car does have a few cosmetic flaws typical of the year and mileage, one spot of rust, and a crack in the windshield. Everything functions as it should however, and I would not hesitate to drive this to florida today. We average about 28mpg with mixed driving, 32+ on the highway. Price reflects the few things it needs fixed (rust, windshield) and the cost of new summer tires. Once I deal with these, the price will go up, I just thought I´d throw this out here as is first. Asking $5500 OBO, no lowballers. Only trades I would consider is towards an ´02+ Xterra or a V8 WJ laredo, both with less than 150k. It´s got new taylor 8 mm wires, new cap and rotor bug, new E3 spark plugs, new coil, new water pump, Head´s been off, gone though by a machine shop and redecked, new head gasket, new radiator support, new K-Member, Replaced rear window, new dog house because previous owner hit a deer with it, the damage wasn´t very bad but I replaced the whole thing anyways, new spectra cool air intake, and replaced the clutch in it last winter. Putting the finishing touches on it and hoping to have it done by 5-11-12. Runs and drives great! Very quick! Only selling because the wife needs a new car, her mazda quit on her. Hoping to pass it on to someone who will finish what I started and make this thing as awesome as I wanted it to be. It´s a four cylinder so it´s great on gas! it comes with 6 stock rims and tires and a set of 4 17 inch rims.
