We took a small trip in June, I had surgery in July, then school started at the end of August. We haven´t had time to use it and think it´s best to offer it for sale. We bought it from a native Californian who drove it to Ann Arbor while his wife was in dental school at UM. She graduated and they moved back west. He kept the bus parked under cover and it is currently sitting in our garage waiting for a new owner.We had the water pump replaced by Streetsboro Foreign Auto in June (outside of Cleveland) and I have scrubbed it down from top to bottom (including hand washing all of the 1985-original curtains). It runs well for a vehicle that is 27 years old -- manual transmission. That being said, we haven´t driven it much and thus are offering it for sale.Neither of us are mechanics (as I said, we´re both teachers)....so here is a list with more details:Accessories: Fully functioning fridge, stove, and sink All cabinets in mint condition New radio/CD player with remote control and iPod/Aux jack Back hatch screen Auxiliary battery located behind the driver´s seat -- great for ipod, laptop, etc Two tables original to the bus -- one for the back seat and one for the front Here is what it needs: new canvas for the pop top (it has no screen in the front ´window´ -- it was like that when we bought it) knob for the stove (cosmetic replacement) refrigerator rack (not necessary but it didn´t come with one) a new sunroof (the current one has a crack but it doesn´t leak -- replacing it would only be for cosmetic reasons) small, black plastic, directional ´louver´ for one of the heat vents (the one located above the sliding door) the Streetsboro mechanic´s notes indicate that he heard a vacuum leak. also, the coolant sensor light is still blinking even after the repairs. We drove it back from Streetsboro with the red light blinking -- the mechanic stated he would need to run additional diagnostics to see why it´s blinking although it´s been repaired.We paid $6000 for it and are just looking to get out of it what we put in. Details: I have for sale a 2000 volkswagen jetta gls vr6 with an automatic trans and 153,600 miles on it. Its got new smoked headlights n old ones come with it just need cleaned up. It does need a new coil on the motor but I still drive the car everyday n get 25 to 30 mpg. It needs a new windshield n the low oil light comes on every now n then but its just a bad sensor I always check it n its always fine.
