Details: 1982 Volkswagen Rabbit convertible. 1.7L gas engine, 3-speed automatic. 132,000 miles.Runs and drives but has barely been driven over the past few years. As with any VW of this vintage there are some electrical issues, on this one the headlights don´t work (parking lights do, I´ve tried two different switches and it´s the same way with both) and the extra gauges are either intermittent or inaccurate.The bodywork is in fair shape, there are a few dings and a number of paint chips, but the car came from California several years ago and as such there´s very little rust. The top has a 1/2-inch tear in the outside skin just beneath the rear window, and the interior skin has a couple torn seams in the rear. There is a boot for the top but it´s not in the photos.The engine runs okay but it doesn´t always idle consistently. I haven´t been able to look into it but I suspect it´s got a vacuum leak. I haven´t had it past 15 MPH.The tires look as if they´ve hardly been driven on. The interior is in fair shape, there´s some broken bits in the dash and the radio was removed. Details: I have a 2008 Volkswagen Jetta S sedan for sale. It currently has a tick over 49000 miles on it and will go up as it is my daily driver. It has the 2.5 inline 5 cyl engine with a 5 spd manual transmission. Mechanically the car is perfect. Good tires, breaks, fresh oil change, ect. This was a certified car when I bought is so it went through a very thorough inspection by the VW dealer. It has power locks, windows, trunk, seat. It has front heated seats, mp3 cd player and ipod hookup too. Upgraded wheels from the factory as well. I have added window tint all the way around (not too dark, looks nice and neat) and xenon headlights. I can take the headlights out and put back to stock if you wish. I have also turned off the day time running lights but can turn them back on if you wish. Very nice car in near show room condition. I have a DVD player that I custom built for the back seat that I can add if you wish. I am only selling to get a full size truck otherwise I would be keeping this car as I know these run forever. I will consider trades for a full size crew cab pickup with under 65K miles on it.Update 5/10. I have a truck picked out at a local dealer. I am willing to work on price a bit to get this sold ASAP.
