Details: 1997 Volkswagen Jetta Trek This car is a great vehicle. The oil has been changed every 3,000 with full synthetic oil (This can be confirmed with Valvoline´s Records). The transmission fluid has been changed on schedule as well which can also be confirmed with Valvoline. In fact if you were to bring it to Valvoline today there is nothing they could sell you because the car is update to date with everything. This car also has brand new Copper Touring Tires, Brand new front and back struts, Brand new rear springs, wheel bearings all the way around and the exhaust was also replaced summer of 2011. The exhaust was replaced from the cataylic converter all the way back with and everything was welded as opposed to clamped. This car is a 5-speed manual transmission with a 2.0 liter engine; therefore very good on gas.The car also has a nice stereo in it (10 speakers).The car does leak a little anti-freeze; however, it has not been a big problem. I have had my mechanic replace a few things to stop, or slow the leak, but he stated cars that age you can expect a few leaks and not to chase the leaks around. Anyway, overall this is a great car and I have all the records to prove maintenance and new parts. Details: For sale is a nice 2000 Volkswagen Jetta GL. This is a great car that gets excellent gas mileage. It has a 5 speed manual transmission and a 2.0l 4 cylinder engine. This last year we replaced the engine with one that had only 12,000 miles! We spent a little more to get it but we couldn´t pass up a motor with such low miles. We purchased the engine from Pam´s Auto in St Cloud and have the documents to prove it. We also took pictures of the installation if you are interested. Since the engine was out we figured it would be a great time to put in a new clutch. The old one looked great but couldn´t pass up the opportunity to install a new one. The odometer says 193k miles but there is no way you could tell. The transmission shifts smoothly and the suspension is nice and tight. The tires and brakes also have a ton of life left and won´t need attention anytime soon. The title is clean and clear without any leans and such. There are a few quirks common to this generation of VW but don´t affect your safety or the drivability of the vehicle.
