Details: 30 year old truck so its not perfect but 18,000 milege is true to my knowledge and two mechanics and several enthusiast say it seems right. I am located in new bern and love the 45mpg it gets. 1.6l diesel, 5-speed, white on tan, my only issue with it is front left headlight is wacky, by that I mean the left turn signal is busted out and held in by duct tape, and the left headlight housing was damaged and it holds the light sitting towards the right. It does show age, but nothing major, like the dash is cracked and interior is 30 year old looking. Dash illumination lights are out, I don´t know if its wiring or bulbs, I don´t want to tear into something that I ain´t 100% on how to do it. The right rear brake had a part bust and was leaking brake fluid, and instead of having brake fluid leak everywhere, I went ahead and drained the fluid and thus the brakes are mechanical at the end of the pedal travel. It does have a upgraded headunit and speackers, headunit is sony and speakers are Memphis Audio, I added to 6x9´s to behind the seat.$4500 / obo or straight trade for mk3 golf or jetta or mk4 golf. I´m currently a member of the military and am out of the country and I have a family member taking care of sale on the car. Reason for sale is only due to the pain of shipping the car overseas. The car did have some engine problems after purchasing the vehicle from a dealership. A very common problem with most of the same model was a engine misfire that was due to very sludged valves, resulting in a leak to the firing chamber. This problem was fixed a month ago along with replacing many other seals. I have the receipt for this repair and all documentation for oil changes and check ups over the coarse of 1.5 years. I bought the car with a little over 50K miles and am now selling with 77.9K miles. I have made a lot of long car drives in this car around the country and is mostly all highway mileage. I bought brand new tires less than a year ago and new brake pads that are still in great condition. The car has been well driven and clutch is in amazing shape(no grinding and has very clean/smooth shift). This car is loaded with options from the package 1 deal that came with the car. I bought the car from a dealer at 16.5 which was slightly lower than the current blue book value. I would like to sell near 14K as i have kept the car in great shape and put a little money into it as well.
