Car has 114k I recently just had the routine maintence done at 104k which is the timing water pump, valve covers, oil pressure sensor, tune up and numerous other items. All the maintence has been done on time with parts from the dealer or Blauparts. I recently just did a road trip to denver and back with no issues. I had installed tein s4 lowering springs with s4 lowering struts to match. At that time new rims and tires were installed also. Interior is grey leather is good condition. I put new headlights in because the stock ones were all clouded over. Grill has been replaced with black no emblem. Has double din JVC dvd/ navigation. In the pictures below I show the motor without the engine cover. I do still have the engine cover. I am not in a hurry to sell so no low ball offers but I am up for trades also. Details: 2000 Volkswagen Golf GLS 4 Door Hatchback, Manual Transmission, 2.0 liter engine, 155,000 miles. Black/Black interior. Around 30 mpg highway, a little less in the city. Well maintained over the years. I have changed the oil religiously, and used only synthetic oil. Sliding sunroof/moon roof. Aftermarket aluminum skid plate. Medium tint on the windows. Back tires are only 10,000 miles old, front tires are a little older, but still lots of tread left. Engine is in great shape. And, of course, it is a volkswagen, so this car has easily another 100,000 miles in it. My dad has the same year, make and model, and his is still running strong at 250,000 miles. My aunt drives an ´81 with 325,000. What can I say, we love Volkswagens.New alternator and battery installed recently.ABS light is on. I took it to my mechanic and he said that the breaks are in good shape and functioning normally, but the anti-lock function is probably not working, which is normal for older cars and not an issue unless you are driving on ice and snow. The light came on when the alternator went out, so it could just be a short circuit or something. I drove with bad alignment last summer for a little bit, so there is still a slight vibration although alignment has been fixed. Not distracting, I only notice it occasionally. Car tracks perfectly now. Interior is fabric, and has no rips or tears aside from a small cigarette nick above driver´s side window. Cosmetically, no rust. There is a dent on the trunk which doesn´t affect the function at all. Also, I bumped into a tree a few years back which knocked rear bumper a little bit out of line and cracked a little bit of the paint. It isn´t loose, and not too noticeable.And there you have it, everything there is to know about this car. Runs great. This car has been well loved over the years, and is really fun to scoot around in. I love it and will miss driving it, but I have no need for a car any more, and this one deserves to be driven.
