It has had ALL of the required maintenance, down to the oil changes done every 3500 miles since I bought it. I rarely drive these days and just don´t need a car anymore. It´s been a fun, 100% reliable car, as Volkswagens are known for. It has recently had the following work:- new tires & alignment- new front & rear brakes- new clutch- new batteryLow mileage for the age. The current mileage is 100,5xx.A few details of what the car has:- alloy rims- Sony CD player with removable face- power windows, door locks, mirrors- manual transmission- keyless entry with key fobAs I said, I barely drive, so all of the above is essentially new, so it´s good to go for awhile (outside of regular fluid changes). No leaks or issues. The car was paid off long ago, so there are no loans, leins, etc. The outside of the car shows the normal wear you´d expect from a 14 year old car. Wouldn´t it be nice if people could park without constantly hitting your bumpers? It´s been in a few fender-benders over the years, but always repaired properly by a reputable shop (I´m a stickler for quality work). The only thing that I know of that´s wrong is the drivers side window recently stopped working. I think I´ve narrowed it to the switch, not a very expensive repair, I just haven´t had time to address it while working two jobs... I´ve deducted some money off the price (yes, I checked with the Kelley Blue Book value. Details: 1996 Volkswagen jetta is reliable. takes you all over the bay area no over heating good on gas. exterior looks nice and even has low profile rims. transmission is a bit weak but still runs like a champ test drive you will see. takes off a bit slow and shakes a bit sometimes but for the price you will definately be able to get around where you need to go. interior is not that good rips in seats that I cover with comfortable pillow, no radio, I leave the drivers side window cracked because the door only opens from inside (other doors work inside and out), right blinker cover is missing and has small dent on back side (see in pic). Details: I have for you a 1998 Volkswagen Jetta GLX. The car is in excellent condition for a 1998, really low mileage... ONLY 110188 when this add is posted. I live in Pacifica and commute to SF only a 15 minute drive every day. The car runs really good, I just had the serpantine belt and the tensioner changed and put in a new coolant flange and pump I have the reciepts if you want check. Car is registered till next year. Car runs like a champ, has alot of pull to it. Very fun car to drive. The only visual damage is minor scratches on the rear bumper from people hitting me in SF that dont know how to park and a small little ding on the passenger side quarter panel, and the side molding on the passanger side is loose but some 3M automotive molding tape will fix that right up. The interior is prestine... No cracks in the leather seats.Im asking $4500.... KBB put this car at $5000 for excellent, $4791 for very good, $4600 for good, and $4000 for fair. (Fair being that car needs professional detailing, Needs mechanical fixing with some leaks but still safe to drive and there is some rust damage.)Im also willing to trade for a Toyota Camry.
