Details: This is a 1957 Volkswagen Rat Rod. It is a hiboy with no fenders. It has the oval window, and a convertible, roll back top that is new. All glass is good. No breaks just a small bullit hole type on the right front windshield. The paint is new black satin with Von Dutch pinstriping and Big Daddy Roth Grafics done by Chad Scheres. The motor is a 1971 1600 CC with a piston kit which would make it a 1641cc. I can not verify that as I was told by the previous owner that the kit had been installed. The motor has dual weber Carbs with dual port heads and manifold. The rearend is stock with reversed Ford wheels and Coker White wall Tire Cheater Slicks. The front has 6:00x16 white wall tires by Coker that are bias belted and Ford Reversed rims. The front end is a So-Cal kit that has hair pins, a 6 inch tubular dropped axel, with Wilwood Disc brakes. Also Hotrod headlights and MC turn signals in the front. On the rear is Harley Davidson taillights with turnsignals. There is a MOON style 10 gallon aluminum gas tank in the front and the gas is pushed with an electric fuel pump. This car is street legal with horn, windshield wipers, turn signals, emergency brake, tachometer, and all lights work. There is no speedometer. I always used my GPS for the speedometer. The door panels are new front and rear. There is no headliner. The seats front and rear need to be upholstered if that is the direction you want to go. I have cloth leopard skin seat covers for the front and a Mexican blanket for the rear. This is a 12 volt car and the battery is under the rear seat. This is a fun car that draws attention where ever you go. It has won several trophys at local car shows. Nothing like it here in town. $10,999 or OBO will get you into this very nice 1957 Volkswagen Ratrod. May take a trade if it is the right one. Details: We are putting our little red zinger because we don´t need three cars. She´s shiny red outside with black interior and fully loaded. Leather, sunroof, 5 speed, 30 mpg. We have a set of studs and all seasons. The car itself has 197k miles but the previous owner had the motor rebuilt at his place of business, European Autohaus approximately 100k miles ago for reasons I´m not sure of. We installed a Kenwood deck in her and replaced the cup holders that are notorious for breaking. She will need a new clutch and new all seasons sometime in the next year. There is no major body damage but there are a few minor things. Please don´t hesitate to ask any questions. Thank you! Update : Let me already say that we are not interested in trades and we are firm on $2700. If you but the clutch my husband will install it for free. Thank you.UPDATE:-) I didn´t post a few things. First off the engine is a 2.0L but no turbo. The interior is in great shape aside from the things that are typical for vw like the broken hinge on the arm rest and the broken handle on the center console both of which come into spalding fairly often. No oil or fluid leaks. Tires need replacing soon but the clutch is awful and will need done right away. Comes with winter tires on rims. All electrical items work and comes with two keys (the fob one we paid over $300 for when we bought the car last year..and then a standard key). The timing belt is coming up on its 100k mile change. There´s a noisy belt. Some imperfections in the paint (I believe the previous owner had a few enemies because the passenger door looks ´keyed´) and the front ´fairing´ lower bumper part is a bit loose but not very obvious.
